The Newport Cliff Walk Was Named The Most Beautiful Place In Rhode Island And We Have To Agree
Recently, Conde Nast Traveler created a list of the most beautiful spot in each state. And while that couldn’t have been an easy task in Rhode Island (nearly every square mile of our state is stunning), they decided on the Newport Cliff Walk for the Ocean State. And if you’ve ever been, you’ll probably agree with that. We certainly do.
Over the years, this attraction has become world famous, and it’s certainly a favorite spot for locals.
This is the first dedicated National Recreation Trail in New England.
Wild bushes and weeds can mask a few of the 70-foot drops, and part of the southern half of the walk is a rough trail over some rocky shoreline.
The Newport Mansions are also world famous.
It then runs south with several major exits and a small natural beach often used by surfers to launch their boards.
It’s a delightful experience for Rhode Islanders of all ages.
