My Search and Why South Shore Village
I have lived in 24 homes altogether in the US and abroad. My home and surroundings are very important. My last two homes I built were in established but growing places; First was in Lakewood Ranch, FL a beautiful home with a gated community and several golf courses. My next home I built was in Aiken, South Carolina at Woodside Plantation, also a gated/golf community with many amenities. When wanting to come to New England, I researched in CT and MA (both places I have lived before). My daughter, husband and grandson live in Cumberland, RI. So, I started my search between these three states to be closer to them. Then I discovered South Shore Village. A new community stretching out into three phases. The Community Center is beautiful with its state of the art fitness center and the salt water pools (indoor and outdoor), fire pits for conversations, along with the “Jaws ship” and rooms for games. Also, we have some wonderful walking trails. South Shore Village is a new growing community with three phases. Phase one and two are completed; and phase three begins. The house I built is the Sea Breeze model. A lovely 1700 sq. ft. model with full basement. I had a gas fireplace built in and finished half the basement. A very comfortable home and built well. The developer himself lives among us and works seven days a week. It is amazing the accomplishments he has completed in a year. It’s so easy to talk with him and the board of directors. Everyone genuinely listens and wants this community to continue thriving. The folks here are 55 + many with pets and grandchildren visiting. It is more than a friendly community, I feel the friends I have made in a very short time seem like family. Things to come in this community, finishing up the golf, pickleball courts, restaurant, and a paw park. One thing to remember, it does take a little patience to get things accomplished, but I see remarkable achievements everyday and I am thankful for this home and the folks who live here, and the wonderful beaches close by.
