Though there are things to enjoy about living in New England in each season, most New Englanders would agree that there’s something extra special about autumn. From amazing fall festivals, foliage hikes and even foliage train rides, the attractions are endless. While there are many wonderful places to enjoy the season in Rhode Island, one historic village offers tons of great seasonal activities that definitely should not be missed.
Historic Wickford Village is found in the charming town of North Kingstown in South County. Known for its lovely locally owned boutiques and vintage shops, the quaint village also offers much more!
Surrounded by vibrant foliage, the village is an ideal place to spend an autumn afternoon.

A series of fantastic fall events are offered each October. Events this year include pumpkin decorating, graveyard walks, Halloween themed bingo, a costume parade, and an official night of trick-or-treating at local businesses.

There are also several farms, such as Schartner Farms pictured here, that are just a short drive away from Wickford. It’s highly recommended to stop in for a hay ride, and leave with a pumpkin, or two.
