Rhode Island is a visually stunning state, so it’s especially disappointing when we can’t go out and explore it to the fullest. But while current regulations are temporary, our natural wonders and attractions are not. These beautiful places — and many more — are awaiting you.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/

Rhode Island is known as the Ocean State, and Narragansett Town Beach makes us remember why. We hope every Rhode Islander who wants to do so can sink their toes into the sand there this year.

If you’ve had to postpone a trip to Block Island this year, don’t be discouraged. The island thrives off of tourism, and it will be ready and waiting whenever you’re able to make it.

Despite our nickname, Rhode Island has so much more to offer than beaches and ocean views. Lincoln Woods State Park is one of Blackstone Valley’s great treasures.

Newport’s only ocean beach is often packed in the summertime. You can even rent cabanas, chairs, and surfboards and make a day of it. Sounds pretty great right now, doesn’t it?
Rhode Island is an incredibly beautiful state, and we’re all looking forward to enjoying it to the fullest once again. If you could be anywhere in the Ocean State right now, where would you be?
